Our Specialty Breads are enjoyed best when served warm. Slice, place on a baking sheet with parchment paper or non-stick foil, & cover. Bake at 350° for 10-15 minutes.  The best way to heat the breads is to be sure to slice them, heat them covered with foil, and make the inside of the bread is warm & the cheese is melted.  The next step is to pull back the foil & uncover them to reach desired crispness.  This ensures all condensation from the product being refrigerated and/or frozen is no present.  A few important tips from Mama Marchiano are as follows:

-If you heat the bread not sliced, all of the cheese will ooze out of the bread and will become messy.  Be sure to slice them first.

-If you heat the bread uncovered the entire time, they may become too hard and the inside will not be warm.  Be sure to heat for approximately 10-12 minutes COVERED to warm the inside of the bread.

-If you heat the bread covered the entire time, the inside will be warm, but they will not be crisp and appear soggy.  Be sure to UNCOVER the bread after the inside is warm and cheese is melted to reach desired crispness.

-Heating the bread both ways ensures optimal serving conditions.  Depending on how hot & crisp you prefer our specialty breads (and oven temperature varies, of course), they may take longer than recommended times.  You'll thank Mama Marchiano for these detailed tips later!  Mangia!

Specialty Breads should be placed in the freezer after a period of 2 days in the refrigerator. Place them in a freezer bag to ensure the product remains fresh. If the product has been refrigerated, be sure to remove from the refrigerator at least 1 hour prior to baking. If frozen, be sure to defrost the Specialty Breads for 2 hours prior to baking. For best results, heat them covered for 12 minutes, & then uncover for the last few minutes, until you reach desired crispness.

Our Tomato Pie is best served at room temperature to enjoy the true taste and texture of our fresh tomato sauce. Tomato Pie should be placed in the refrigerator overnight and consumed within 2 days, and should be frozen after that. If desired, drizzle a small amount of oil on sauce, place on tray, cover, & heat at 325° for approximately 5-10 minutes.

Our Oreganata Breads are great for serving at parties because most people enjoy them at room temperature. Like our other products, it is best to refrigerate the product for a period of 2 days, and then freeze it after that. Oreganata, especially the stuffed varieties, can be heated at 325° for approximately 5-10 minutes. Be sure to cover it tightly. It is also best served with our Dipping Sauce.

Our Homemade Dipping Sauce is best served warm with our products. Place in a small saucepan, warm over low heat, and serve. Many of our customers serve our sauce over pasta, as well as use it to dip fresh Italian bread in it.
